Did you know that there are about 50 different types of plastic and currently only seven types are commercially recyclable?

Economical plastic recycling is complex and difficult and as yet technology has not been developed into commercial systems. Until this changes Evergreen has decided to work in partnership with expert organisations to recycle plastic waste because we believe that plastic recycling is a vital way of supporting both our environment and sustainable living.

It is estimated that 1 tonne of recycled plastic “saves” 1.8 tonnes of oil. Evergreen recycles about 25 tonnes of plastic each month - tonnes of milk bottles, coffee cups and carrier bags - that’s a lot of ‘saved’ oil!

During a working day your staff generate a large amount of potential recycling material whilst just doing their jobs and eating and drinking at work. Evergreen collects and recycle these waste materials ie: cardboard, glass and cans. We even supply collection bins for the convenient storage of the waste before we recycle it.
